Adverting to C.S.0. 2764/1902, Mr. Wood desires that his leave should commence from and including 4th.
April next.

I recommend the following arrangements for the performance of Mr. Wood's duties during his absence which
are similar to those made on a previous occasion as recorded in
C.S.0.2917 of 1897:-
Mr. P. Julyan, assisted by Messrs. Ng Sze
and Lo Tsz Lam, to be in charge of the Correspondence and Store
Accounts, and Mr. A. M. de Souza, assisted by Messrs. H. Golden-
berg and Chan Yuk Shan, to be in charge of the Accounts other
than Store Accounts.

When Mr. hood's half-salary becomes avail-
abie I recommend for the favourable consideration of His Excel-
lency the Governor that in view of the considerable amount of
extra work which will be thrown on the above clerks, that they
be allowed to draw extra salary as follows:-
Mr. P. Julyan...
Mr. A. M. de Souza.
Mr. Ng Sze...
Mr. H. Goldenberg.
Mr. Lo Tsz Lam..
Mr. Chan Yuk Shan.

Also that Mr. Julyan, who will have as part of his duty to
visit the various stores, be allowed to draw Mr. Wood's $15.00
